Marshmallow Treats

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 pkg (10 oz, about 40) regular marshmallows, or 4 cups miniature
- 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Steps
- Melt margarine over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
- Cook over low heat 3 min. Add Rice Krispies. Stir until coated.
- Press the mixture into a buttered 9x13x2 pan.
Notes
- The card includes variation notes below the main recipe: can substitute 2 cups marshmallow cream (added to the melted margarine and stirred over low heat 5 min) for the marshmallows; can add 1 cup peanuts to the cereal; or add 1/4 cup peanut butter, stirred into the marshmallow mixture just before adding the cereal; or add 1 cup raisins to the cereal.
