Cake Mix Cookie Monster

Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 3/4 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 egg
- 2 cups quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup M&M’s
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Large bowl - beat cake mix, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter, water, and egg with an electric mixer until well combined.
- Stir in oats. Then add chocolate chips and candies.
- Using a large cookie scoop, drop dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased sheet.
- Bake 14-15 min. Cool 10 min on the cookie sheet, then remove to a cooling rack - cool completely, about 20 min.
Notes
- Servings on the card were written oddly (read as “27”) — worth checking against the original in case it actually says “2 dz” (2 dozen) or “24.”
