Ingredients
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 dash paprika
- Salt & pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
Steps
- In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and flour, breaking up any lumps.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the broth, spices, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer over low-medium heat.
- Whisk the broth and slowly add the milk/flour mixture. Continue 2-3 min until it begins to thicken.
- Remove from heat and let cool. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to a week.
Notes
- The page has several crossed-out/reordered phrases in the method, suggesting the writer rewrote the step order — transcription reflects the final legible sequence.
- Handy as a homemade stand-in anywhere a recipe in this collection calls for a can of cream of chicken soup (e.g. Cheesy Chicken Crescent).
