Ingredients
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (1/2 stick) butter-flavored shortening
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp milk
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
Steps
- Combine the peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed.
- Add the egg. Beat just until blended.
- Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to the creamed mixture at low speed.
- Drop by heaping teaspoon 2 inches apart onto an ungreased sheet.
- Flatten slightly in a crisscross pattern with the tines of a fork.
- Cool 2 min. Remove to foil and cool completely.
Notes
- The brown sugar quantity is written a little ambiguously on the card — recorded here as 1 cup, worth a glance at the physical card to confirm.
